The Facelet team will be headed to eCommerce Quebec on October 12 and 13. The eCommerce Quebec event is designed for retailers seeking various technology solutions, and its strategically broken up into a few areas: CRM, inventory management, marketing and social media, and customer experience.

More so than other retail conferences and trade shows, eCommerce Quebec places a high priority on customer experience and usability, which are important values at Facelet.

We’re excited to present Facelet to Canadian retailers, and we’ve learned that no conference is worth attending if you don’t foresee getting something out of it. So, it’s not just about presenting our product — it’s more about what we stand to learn.

It’s important to go in with a specific goal for what you’ll take away (and be open to anything outside that).

We’re looking to get feedback from leaders in Canadian retail. We’ve been pouring time and energy into creating unique demos for different industries and customers, so getting specific feedback will help us nail down our demos.

At past events, creating simulations of real stores has helped us to better communicate about how retailers can serve their customers with a Facelet kiosk.

At eCommerce Quebec, we will exhibit our product by simulating a fashion environment and (for the first time) a furniture environment. Because furniture retailers are often incredibly pressed for space, we feel it’s important to start mastering how we demonstrate our platform’s application to that industry.

What we’ve learned at previous trade shows and conferences is this: the best way to exhibit your product is not to think of it as a presentation but instead as a conversation. This requires thinking on your toes, and being adaptive. Don’t show up focused only on what you have to say, but instead use the opportunity to conduct social listening.

We approach any upcoming event like the priceless data and experience mine that it is.

That said, we do hope that retailers who stop by to see our booth will walk away with an understanding of the core offering that we bring: an affordable, future-leaning digital technology that bridges the gap between product research and in-store buying.

It’s so important for us to showcase our platform in proximity to physical products because it’s the interaction between them that’s truly exciting for retailers. We’re bringing digital information into stores so that retailers can give customers exactly what they want — whether it’s product specs, contextualization, or brand activations.

We’ll be at booth 40, and you can find the exhibit map here. See you there!
